Study - A NEW EARTH: AWAKENING TO YOUR LIFE'S PURPOSE (as seen on
Oprah)
To
begin healing the planet, individuals will have to consciously become
aware of the unhealed wounds they carry and the stories they make
up that hold them back from being fully present in this moment.
They must let those wounds and stories go and take responsibility
for their lives; their words, thoughts, and actions. Each of us
has an impact on the collective consciousness. Each time one of
us becomes more aware, we contribute positively to that collective
consciousness. We can heal the planet; one person at a time; right
here; right now.
Join
a small group of like-minded seekers as we meet to read, explore,
discuss and apply the themes in Eckhart Tolle's latest book. Maximum
number of participants will be 10.
Our
time together will be guided by the principles of Peer Spirit Circles.

THE
GOLDEN RULE CIRCLE WORKSHOP
Why
Can't We All Just Get Along?
The Golden Rule
Across the World’s Religions
What a great question. Why can't we all just get along? What's
getting in the way?
At a dramatic pace, more and more regions of the world are becoming
environments of multi-culture and multi-faith. This trend is having
a profound effect upon public education, religious education, ethical
education and education for social justice. Growing numbers of educators
are discovering that religious and ethical education can no longer
be conducted from the perspective of only one religion or culture.
Indeed, religious educators of the future will call upon the wisdom
and teachings of numerous religious and humanist traditions.
The Golden Rule is a universal moral principle found in many religions
and secular philosophies. It is also an excellent tool for creating
a conscious, authentic life.
This circle workshop has been designed to generate enthusiasm, reflection
and discussion. It aims to provide tools for reflection and action
in terms of the great ethical and social issues of our time.
This circle workshop will be relevant to single faith, multi faith
as well as those who do not define themselves as “religious”
or “spiritual” as the workshop content deals largely
with ethics.
When: Thursday, April 29, 2004
Where: Authentic Lives 24 Second Street, Suite
202
(Islington/Lakeshore)
Time: 7 p.m. – 9 p.m.
