Authentic Living
Our soul essence is complete and divine. That is who we are. Our highest and magnificent selves are what we are here to bring into form. Each of us has a Soul Purpose that only we can fulfill in our own unique, authentic way. Steve Jobs of Apple Inc. says it this way, “Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma – which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of other’s opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, to have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. You somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.”
As children, our connection to our divinity was very immediate and intimate. As we grew up we experienced the domestication process of parents, teachers, religious leaders and society. The veil between us and our divine Source became heavier and heavier buried under the many layers of mixed messages, half-truths and fear. With each succeeding year, we lost the memory of who we really were and we forgot where we had come from and what our purpose is.
Some of us lead “lives of quiet desperation” fearful and afraid to live because we have forgotten how to, domesticated to believe there isn’t enough, we are not enough, that we are separate from others, nature and Mother Earth. Unconsiously, we took on a lot of the emotional poison in those around us; our families, institutions, religious communities, and governments.
If this is to change, it will be up to us to take the first step to reclaim our birthright ~ live in our hearts, love and forgive unconditionally; be happy, grateful, joyful, generous and at peace.
Are you ready to move beyond the superficial, to take a real look at who you have become, to really take responsibility for your own experience? Are you prepared to do whatever it takes to really live and love? Without desire and commitment, you will continue to live at the whim of whomever and whatever outside of you is in control. It is time to excavate your authentic self, to be your own authority; to date, to get to know, fall in love with and make love to your amazing self. It will take some work ~ anything worthwhile will require that of you. Are you worth it? Surrender and trust in the process that will inevitably liberate your authentic self.
We arrived with a purpose and as we do the inner work, we will uncover the nature of that purpose. Each one of us is divine with the opportunity to make a difference, to transform the world as we come to know, love and radically accept all of who we really are – the light and the dark. Through the re-discovery of who we are and our inner purpose, we are able to align it with our outer purpose in order to be more authentic, aware and compassionate.
Now is the time to wake up and remember who you are as Beloved. The world needs you to wake up and to stay awake and to be your fully magnificent self. Our thoughts, words and actions can either create Heaven or Hell on earth. It is up to each one of us. The choice is ours.
To begin healing the planet will require each of us to consciously become aware of the unhealed wounds we carry and the stories we make up that keep us attached to our ego and hold us back from being centred in our hearts and fully present in this moment. Those wounds and stories must be forgiven and released, a spiritual de-cluttering, to allow new and positive energy to appear. We must take responsibility for our lives; our words, thoughts, and actions, and the stories we make up that keep us trapped in suffering. Each of us has an impact on the collective consciousness, positively or negatively.
The reality is we all suffer. That is one of the many places we connect. When we remember this commonality, our compassionate hearts open and the connection deepens and the world becomes an energetically positive space with kindness at its core.
There are many paths to freedom. Two of them are The Fifth Agreement (including the Four Agreements) and the Eightfold Path found in the Buddhist tradition. If we simply lived our lives by these guidelines, our lives and the world we live in would be a more heart-centred, compassionate, collaborative and sustainable place to be.
